Following recent rainfall, Council has lowered water restrictions in Boorowa from Level 2, back to Level 1.
“Obviously we’ve been watching the water supply level very closely, particularly following the dry few months we’ve had,” Acting General Manager David Aber said.
“Thankfully the Hilltops Region received some much-needed rain in recent weeks – including in the catchment areas – so the weir pool water level has risen, meaning Council is now in a position to be able to revert to the Level 1 restrictions in Boorowa.
“We will continue to monitor the situation carefully to ensure the ongoing management of water requirements for Boorowa residents,” he said.
Tips for saving water are available on Council’s website.
