Hilltops Mayor Brian Ingram and staff met with The Hon. Angus Taylor Member for Hume in Goulburn today to seek support for Hilltops council’s Boorowa water security project. This project is Council’s number one infrastructure priority as the Boorowa community have been on water restrictions for more than five years.
Council is hoping to meet with the Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack and Shadow Minister Tony Burke in the coming weeks to continue to advocate for this project to be part funded under the National Water Infrastructure Development Fund. Council will also be meeting with State Government sitting members The Hon. Steph Cooke and prospective candidates Ursula Stephens, Mick Veitch and Wendy Tuckerman and others to obtain endorsement of the project and a recommendation by the State to the Federal Government.
