Update: Temporary Road Closure – Calabash Street, Young
Council wishes to advise the temporary road closure of Calabash Street, from Boorowa Street to dead-end near Lovell Street, Young to facilitate road widening and kerb works from Monday 5 May 2025 for up to four weeks.
Calabash Street will be closed to through traffic and driveway access within the work-zone will be affected with residents required to park outside the work-zone for the duration of the works.
Waste services have been notified of the disruption and will continue pickup services as per normal with garbage trucks to either drive through construction works or pickup at end of street with workers moving the bins as required. Residents only need to put bins out on their regular days at the kerbside as normal.
Traffic control and overnight closures may remain in place to allow safe operations for completing project work due to the road upgrades and temporary road closure times can change without notice.
