Hilltops Council and the National Cherry Festival Committee are calling for participants to take part in the 2024 Cherry Queen/ King/ Ambassador Competition.
The Cherry Queen/ King/ Ambassador Competition is a significant and much-loved part of the National Cherry Festival (NCF). The competition seeks to choose an ambassador who will not only represent Young but also the entire Hilltops Region, starting from their coronation during NCF celebrations and continuing throughout the ensuing year.
This year the competition will begin in July 2024, and will require participants to organise at least one fundraising event for their cause before 25 November 2024. Each entrant will have the privilege of selecting a local charity, not-for-profit community-based club, or service provider in the Hilltops Region, and this year 100% of the funds raised will go towards each participants nominated organisation.
For all entrants, involvement in this competition presents an opportunity for enhanced community engagement. Participants also have the chance to support their favourite cause or local club and be recognised with a prestigious title and a wonderful prize.
