Hilltops Council’s Local Heritage Fund grant program for the 2023/2024 financial year is now open.
The Local Heritage Fund has been made possible by Heritage NSW and provides owners the opportunity to apply for small grants, in order to continue to conserve, manage and maintain the significance of local heritage items.
Local heritage owners can apply for up to $5,500 dollar-for-dollar matching funding for eligible projects for conservation and maintenance works on locally listed heritage items under the Hilltops Local Environmental Plan 2022.
Examples of the type of work that can be funded under this program may include:
- Roof repair
- Replacement of guttering and roof flashing
- Repair or replacement of awnings and verandahs
- Repair of damaged floors
- Works to stabilise significant structures
- Repainting in approved colour schemes
The Hilltops Council Local Heritage Fund is a targeted funding program. Projects must meet eligibility criteria, funding priorities and common selection criteria. This information can be found within the Local Heritage Fund Guidelines. Guidelines and an application form can be found on Councils website –https://www.hilltops.nsw.gov.au/community/local-heritage-fund/.
Applications, including quotations for the proposed work, close on Monday 18 September 2023 and the work must be completed by Friday 12 April, 2024.
