Media Release – 2 July 2024 – Sewer Maintenance and Repairs in Boorowa, Harden and Young

Hilltops Council has engaged a contractor to conduct maintenance and repairs to the sewer mains located in Boorowa, Harden and Young.

Council’s contractor, Interflow, will require access to backyards of properties that have a sewer access chamber.

Interflow will notify residents via letterbox drop if inspection of their property’s access chamber is necessary. If your property includes an access chamber and you wish to schedule a specific inspection time, please contact Interflow’s construction manager on the number provided below.

Work has started and will be completed by Saturday 31 August 2024, commencing in the Harden area before moving onto Young and Boorowa.

Some residents may experience an increase in noise, vehicle movements and odours while work is being carried out.

It is advisable to leave your toilet lids down with a small weight placed on the lid (about 2kg) while cleaning works are being completed to ensure that accidental toilet spurts are avoided.
