Young Roadworks Notification
Hilltops Council advises residents of Young that resealing works will take place between Tuesday 4 March and Thursday 6 March 2025, on the following streets:
Tuesday 4 March 2025:
- Back Creek Road from Matthew Street to Olympic Highway
- Barwang Street from Milong Street to White Street
- Cowper Street – whole length
Wednesday 5 March 2025:
- Edwards Street from Clarke Street to Main Street
- Nasmyth Street from Hills Street to Zouch Street
Thursday 6 March 2025:
- Hills Street from Olympic Highway to Orchard Street.
Work will take place between 7am and 5pm, with completion of each section expected to occur on the same day, subject to weather.
Residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed, to ensure that their homes are not impacted by odour from the road resealing works, park cars in driveways and not on the roads where resealing will occur and if possible, avoid driving through these areas.
Planned works are subject to change due to Council resources, staffing availability, shifting priorities and weather conditions.
Speed restrictions will be in place and minor delays may be experienced. Speed should be reduced, and caution exercised when travelling through roadwork sites.
