Homelessness Awareness Week BBQ at Young Town Hall

The Hilltops Health and Wellbeing Action Group, supported by Hilltops Council, is proud to announce a special event in support of Homelessness Awareness Week. Join us for a free BBQ hosted by the Rapid Relief Team outside the front of Young Town Hall on Boorowa Street. The event will take place on Thursday 8 August 2024 from 11:30am to 1:30pm.
Homelessness Awareness Week is an annual event organised by Homelessness Australia to build community support and government commitment to end homelessness. During this week, homelessness services and community groups come together to raise awareness of the impact of homelessness, advocate for the necessary solutions to end homelessness, and drive change through national and local community events, media, and social media activities.
In 2024, Homelessness Week will be held from Monday 5 August to Sunday 11 August 2024. This year’s theme is ‘Homelessness Action Now’, emphasising the urgent need for actionable steps to address homelessness.
The Rapid Relief Team will generously provide the BBQ for free, ensuring everyone can enjoy a meal while learning more about homelessness and how we can work together to create meaningful change.
We invite all members of the community to attend this important event, show their support, and engage in the conversation about ending homelessness. Registrations not required.
