2023 Hilltops Youth Forum: Empowering Youth Voices for a Brighter Future
The Hilltops Youth Action Group (HYAG), in collaboration with Hilltops Council and the NSW Government, invites the youth of Hilltops to the upcoming 2023 Hilltops Youth Forum.
The Hilltops Youth Forum is a platform designed to empower the youth in our community to make their voices heard and advocate for positive change in their lives. If you are a young person between the ages of 12 to 24, this is your opportunity to have a say on the issues that matter most to you, and to address the challenges that affect young people living within the Hilltops region.
Taking place at the Young PCYC on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 9 AM to 2:30 PM, the forum will be filled with engaging activities, discussions, and opportunities to connect with local youth services. Admission will be entirely free, and lunch as well as morning tea will be provided courtesy of Boys to the Bush.
2023 Hilltops Youth Forum Itinerary:
- 9 AM – 9:30 AM: School/participant registrations
- 9:30 AM – 10 AM: Acknowledgement of Country, ice breaker and introduction
- 10 AM – 11 AM: Survey results, round table discussions – issues and action plans
- 11 AM – 11:15 AM: Morning tea
- 11:15 AM – 12:30 PM: Guest speakers and youth services stalls interaction
- 12:30 PM – 1 PM: Lunch (provided by Boys to the Bush)
- 1 PM – 1:40 PM: Issue-based small group round table discussions
- 1:40 PM – 2:15 PM: Pitch session – open up the floor (roving mic and VIP panel)
- 2:15 PM – 2:30 PM: Wrap up
The 2023 Hilltops Youth Forum is a chance to make friends, connect with like-minded individuals, and advocate for change in our community. By participating in workshops run by Youth Action and Headspace and engaging in open discussions, attendees will gain valuable insights and tools to address the issues they care about most.
