National Cherry Festival Road Closures 2022

The following roads will be temporarily closed during the 2022 National Cherry Festival celebrations.

Please note temporary road closure times can change without notice. Vehicle detours will be signposted to assist the travelling public.

Anderson Park Entertainment Area

From 6am Thursday 1 December to 5pm Sunday 4 December: Anderson Park/Railway Station Precinct (internal road Main Street to Lynch Street) will be closed; Lynch Street between Lovell Street and the Railway Line will be closed for the amusements.

Fireworks Display

From 8pm to 10pm on Friday 2 December:

  • Nasmyth Street between Zouch Street and Lynch Street will be closed.
  • Lynch Street between Lovell and Edwards Street will be closed.
  • Lovell Street between Zouch & Main Street will be closed.


National Cherry Festival Burson Car Show

From 7am to 4:30pm Saturday 3 December at Clarke Street near Burson. The Roads will be closed from Boorowa Street to Rosemary Lane and part of Rosemary Lane at beginning of car park.


National Cherry Festival Parade & Massed Bands

From 1pm to 5pm Saturday 3 December: Boorowa Street (Zouch Street to Thornhill Street) will be closed.


Marshalling areas at Cloete Street (from Zouch Street to Calabash Street), Calabash Street (from Cloete Street to Junction Street), Junction Street (from Calabash Street to Boorowa Street), Boorowa Street (from Calabash Street to Zouch Street) will also be closed from 2:30pm – 5pm.


*Please be advised that there will be staff closing sections of road on either side of the above-mentioned times in preparation for the formal temporary closures.
