New toilet block for Young Arts and Cultural Precinct

Jan 17, 2019

Hilltops Council have received funding under the Stronger Country Communities Grant Program to demolish and construct a new toilet block within the Young Arts and Cultural Precinct.

The toilet block being replaced is located at Captain Cook’s Weir on the Corner of Marina and Main Street. This toilet block provides an essential service to the community using the footpaths along Burrangong Creek, and Arboretum Park and is currently in very poor condition.

The project will commence shortly with the demolition of the existing toilet block, this will mean the toilet block will be closed for public use from around 21 January 2019. An alternate facility is available at Tresillian Park next to the Young Aquatic Centre.

The project is expected to be completed by end of July 2019. The location of the new toilet block is still being finalised, however will remain within the Arts and Cultural Precinct.

Council appreciate your patience during the construction of this new facility.
