Public Exhibition of Planning Proposal for Housekeeping Amendment to the Hilltops Local Environmental Plan 2022.
A Housekeeping Amendment to the Hilltops Local Environmental Plan 2022 is being placed on public exhibition from 5 August 2024 to 2 September 2024 as per the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. Council received a Gateway Determination on 26 July 2024 stating a public exhibition period is required for minimum of 20 business days.
The Housekeeping Amendment Planning Proposal is in response to a review of the Hilltops LEP, in which Council identified areas for refinement. These include refinement of Land Use Zoning tables, inclusion of Clause 5.22 Special Flood Considerations, and updating of Schedule 5 Environmental Heritage register and associated mapping. It is the intention of this Planning Proposal to enhance the clarity of the Hilltops LEP, while maintaining the land use objectives and accuracy of information within the Hilltops LEP.
The Planning Proposal has been drafted in accordance with the Local Environmental Plan Making Guideline and affects the Hilltops LGA in its entirety. As per the Gateway Determination provided by the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, Council is the designated Local Plan-making Authority for this proposal.
