Hilltops Council advises residents, businesses and motorists that road and pedestrian improvement works will commence on Railway Street, Bribbaree between Bribbaree Road and Bribbaree Street.
The works are scheduled to commence on Wednesday, 15 July 2026 and are expected to be completed by Wednesday, 30 September 2026, weather permitting.
The project will include:
· Removal of existing tree stumps.
· Replacement of damaged concrete footpaths.
· Replacement of damaged kerb and gutter.
· Construction of new traffic islands to improve road safety.
Traffic control will be in place throughout the duration of the works to ensure safety of workers, motorists and pedestrians. Both lanes of traffic will remain open during construction, and no detours are expected.
Residents and motorists are encouraged to follow all temporary traffic signage, exercise caution when travelling through the work area, and allow additional travel time where required.
