Financial Assistance and Sponsorship Program

Under section 356 of the Local Government Act 1993 Hilltops Council once a year calls for applications from community organisations who are seeking financial assistance or sponsorship from Council.

Our annual Financial Assistance and Sponsorship program provides funding to eligible community groups and organisations with the aim to maximise community connections, and improve the function and sustainability of community projects/events and facilities.

This program is run each year to provide financial assistance to organisations to help deliver local initiatives that make a positive contribution to our community.

All applications and supporting information must be submitted to Council on the prescribed forms which are available below and at Council offices, and be submitted to submissions@hilltops.nsw.gov.au by the designated closing time and date to be considered.

When submitting an application please supply as much information as possible so that Council is able to assess your application to its full potential.

It is highly recommended that you read the Hilltops Council Financial Assistance and Sponsorship Policy prior to submitting an application.

The 2023-2024 Financial Assistance and Sponsorship Program has now closed. Please keep an eye on this page during the 2024-2025 financial year for another opportunity to apply for funding.

Financial Assistance Program:

Fund 1 – Small Scale Infrastructure Fund

To assist organisations to provide infrastructure for their community/ sporting group. Council will fund up to 50% of the cost of the infrastructure, to a maximum of $2,500.

Fund 2 – General Fund for Community Financial Assistance

This fund is designed to assist community groups and organisations to undertake special programs or events. Council will fund up to 50% of the cost of the event or program, to a maximum of $2,500.

Sponsorship Program:

Sponsorships will be considered for not-for-profit groups, organisations or individuals seeking to organise an event/activity within the Hilltops Local Government Area that has demonstrable benefit to the community.

All applications and supporting information must be submitted to Council on the prescribed forms to submissions@hilltops.nsw.gov.au.

Additional Important Information

If you have previously been supported by the Hilltops Council Financial Assistance & Sponsorship program you must submit an acquittal within one month of your event or program being complete with all supporting information to mail@hilltops.nsw.gov.au, attention Grants Officer, failure to do so can impact on any future submissions you may make to this program.
