On the advice of structural engineers, Hilltops Council has introduced a temporary 40km/h speed limit (effective immediately) along Jugiong Road, Jugiong, after significant structural issues were identified in a culvert beneath the roadway. The speed reduction is a critical safety measure to protect road users and prevent further damage to the structure.
Daily inspections will be conducted over the next seven days while Council assesses the culvert’s condition and plans necessary repairs. Please note, that while there may be periods with no visible works on site, the 40km/h restriction remains in place and is essential for public safety.
The 40km/h restriction applies to the section of road outlined in red below. Road users are urged to follow all traffic control signage. Updates will be provided as repair works are scheduled.
