Hilltops Council has been successful in gaining funding from the Office of Environment and Heritage to revitalise Carrington Park. The project will focus on the restoration of the Band Rotunda and White Monument and upgrading of the surrounding gardens and pathways. Additional seating and interpretive signage will also be included to improve visitor amenity with the aim to increase visitation.
Council would like to invite all interested community members to attend a project workshop on Monday 8th October from 4pm-6pm at the Hilltops Council Young Office to discuss the project with Council staff and review the Conservation Action Plan.
Residents are welcome to bring along any visual records of the Park, Rotunda and White Monument they may have collected over the years as we piece together their history to help guide the restoration process.
Feedback regarding this project can be also sent to mail@hilltops.nsw.gov.au
The project is expected to be completed by May 2019.
