The Operational Plan and Delivery Program form the basis of Council’s long-term strategies and ensure that the Council are able to deliver on the community’s priorities as outlined in the Community Strategic Plan. The Delivery Program is Council’s response and commitment to implementing, within its available resources, the priorities and aspirations of the community.
The plan outlines the programs and projects Council will undertake to fulfil their obligations to the community and deliver the vision of the Community Strategic Plan together with the funding sources and expenditure for the financial year. “These documents are Council’s response to the Community Strategic Plan and are our promise to the community on what we will deliver within our term.” Mayor Brian Ingram said.
The plans have a strong focus on delivering stronger country communities, grant projects and asset renewal with water and roads being key priorities as indicated by the community and will utilise some loans and funding for new infrastructure to spread the cost for ratepayers now and in the future. It reflects Council’s long-term goal of financial sustainability and the delivery of quality services, infrastructure and outcomes for the community.
“It is an exciting time for Hilltops Council moving forward as one consolidated organisation, we have worked hard developing these documents to incorporate what the community want. We have also included measures and indicators that we will use to track our progress in achieving the services and programs. We are confident and optimistic about the future of Hilltops Council with strong potential for continued growth, economic development and excellent service delivery to support our strong, creative and vibrant community.” Hilltops Mayor Brian Ingram said.
