After commencing on 15 March, formal consultation and acceptance of submissions from the public finishes on Monday, 26 April.
‘The LEP is the home of land use zonings and minimum lot size requirements, as well as a range of other development controls that will be applied across Hilltops,’ shared Hilltops General Manager Anthony O’Reilly.
‘Therefore, Council want to ensure the people and businesses of Hilltops are aware of the Draft LEP and have their say on what it contains,’ he continued.
‘Council has had a pleasing response to the consultation process with thousands of visits to the Draft LEP web site and a significant increase in phone calls, emails and over the counter enquiries. We now want to see these translate into submissions to assist Council in finalising the Plan.’ Mr O’Reilly concluded.
Hilltops Council will have the Draft LEP, mapping and supporting material available on the website (lep.hilltops.nsw.gov.au) and at each Council office until 26 April 2021. Submissions will be accepted until this date.
If you would like further information please visit the Draft LEP website or contact Hilltops Council at their offices in Harden, Boorowa and Young or call on 1300 445 586.
