Nominations open for Australia Day Awards

Nomination forms are now available for various award categories for the 2022 Australia Day celebrations in the Hilltops region. Members of the public are invited to nominate individuals and groups across Hilltops who have exhibited outstanding community service over the past 12 months.

The awards were an important way to acknowledge and thank special people in the community and members of the public are urged to participate in the nomination process and shine a light on the caring, community spirit and the service shown right across the Hilltops Region in this pandemic year of challenge and change.

Each year the awards inspire us to become involved and continue building on the work already being carried out by generous people who give their time and effort so selflessly to the community. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide formal recognition to residents who have demonstrated an outstanding community service this year, and a contribution to the progress and growth of the Hilltops region.

While the past year has been marked by uncertainly associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, which has at times necessitated reduced community engagement, there are many examples of people and groups that have made a real difference.
