Hilltops Council advises residents of Young that road works will take place between Wednesday 25 February and Friday 6 March 2026, on the following streets:
Wednesday 25 February 2026:
- McLerie Street
- Edwards Street
- Nasmyth Street
Monday 2 to Friday 6 March 2026:
- McVeigh Street
- Binalong Street
Work will take place between 7am and 5pm, with completion of each section expected to occur on the same day, subject to weather.
Residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed to ensure that their homes are not impacted by odour from the road works; park cars in driveways and not on the roads where road works will occur and if possible, avoid driving through these areas while work is occurring.
Planned works are subject to change due to Council resources, staffing availability, shifting priorities and weather conditions.
Speed restrictions will be in place and minor delays may be experienced. Speed should be reduced, and caution exercised when travelling through roadwork sites. For up-to-date traffic report please visit Live Traffic NSW.
