Temporary Footpath Closure – Burrangong Creek, Young
Hilltops Council advises residents that the footpath along Burrangong Creek, at the rear of Street, Young, will be temporarily closed to allow for bank stabilisation works.
The closure will extend from Thornhill Street to the ramp leading onto Dundas Street. During this time, pedestrians are advised to use the detour route via the pedestrian footbridge to Clarke Street, along Boorowa Street and down Thornhill Street.
Works are scheduled to commence on Monday, 25 May 2026 and are expected to continue until Friday, 19 June 2026, weather permitting.
Signage will be in place during construction to assist pedestrians and maintain public safety.
Please note that planned works are subject to change due to Council resources, staffing availability, shifting priorities and weather conditions.
