The Young Trunk Drainage Upgrade project continues to make good progress.
Council’s engaged contractor, Delaney Civil, will implement a temporary road closure on Lynch Street between Cloete Street and Rosemary Lane (near the Young Post Office) in the coming weeks.
While this section of road has previously been reopened to traffic, the existing road surface is a temporary seal. The upcoming works will involve asphalt paving to install the permanent road surface.
The road closure is expected to remain in place for approximately two to three days. Existing road closures within the project area will also remain in place while permanent road surfacing works are completed.
Pedestrian access to all businesses will be maintained throughout the works, therefore please use alternative routes and parking locations during this period.
Please adhere to all traffic signage, road rules and directions in place to ensure the safety of workers and the community.
Council thanks residents, businesses and visitors for their continued patience and cooperation as these important infrastructure improvements are completed.
