LIBRARY ASSISTANT (HARDEN LIBRARY, FIXED-TERM)

Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced individual to oversee the operation of its Harden branch for a period of up to 12 months. In this role, you will be the primary contact at the Harden library, and as such, exceptional personal presentation, self-organisation and interpersonal skills will be highly regarded.
 

Our libraries provide an essential service to the community and as such we are seeking someone who has a passion for library services and a commitment to community service. The preferred candidate will be someone who is sensitive to patrons' needs and willing to help with information gathering requests, in using the supplied digital technology and in accessing all other library resources at hand. They must also be diligent in maintaining the organisation of library resources, the cleanliness of the library and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment to the benefit of all patrons.

WATER & SEWER ENGINEERS x 2 (YOUNG)


 

We are seeking two Water & Sewer Engineers to join the team in Young working under direction from the Manager Water & Sewer. These roles will provide quality engineering advice and support in a range of different areas in Council’s Water & Sewer business unit.

Our Water & Sewer Engineers are responsible for assisting in the management of Council’s water & sewer operations, including monitoring and managing the water & sewer headworks and reticulation, developing and managing in-house construction projects, contracts, liaising with regulatory authorities and undertaking investigations of water & sewer assets.

To be considered for the role, you will hold tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline, have knowledge and experience in investigation, planning, design, construction and operation of water & sewer infrastructure and a sound understanding of the regulatory environment of the NSW water & sewer business.

While we encourage recent university graduates to apply, it is expected that you will either have had exposure to or some specialisation in water & sewer during your tertiary education or prior/subsequent work experience, and that you are well-informed of various water & sewer treatment processes.

WORKS ENGINEER (YOUNG)

 

Council's Works Engineers are tasked with providing expert advice in relation to the planning, management and delivery of Council's Works Program. They provide an essential service to our community and their expertise is essential in driving the productive output of teams under their supervision.

Working in conjunction with Works Supervisors, our Works Engineers are required to oversee the delivery of Council’s civil infrastructure work plans to the quality standards expected by Transport for NSW and other regulators, and must ensure that infrastructure works are delivered safely, within appropriate timeframes and under budget. 

To be successful in this role, you will be a suitably qualified engineer with extensive experience in a local government or civil construction setting, and you will have exceptional knowledge of the responsibilities of the role and demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.

CASUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER




We are currently seeking a Casual Customer Service Officer to join our team working across Hilltops in our offices in Harden, Boorowa & Young to provide exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for all incoming calls and front-counter enquiries.

Our Customer Service Officers are the lynchpin of our organisation and they provide essential administrative support to all internal teams in Hilltops. The successful candidate will be a consummate professional, working in a fast-paced environment to deliver outstanding customer service, managing a high-volume of inbound calls, carrying-out office administration duties and cash-handling and reconciliation on a daily basis.
