PROJECT MANAGERS (two roles)

  • Salary range between $90k - $100k p.a.+ 9.5% superannuation.
  • Two positions available - with three-year fixed terms, working 70 hours over a nine-day fortnight.
  • Rewarding and challenging roles, these allow you to take ownership for the delivery of a vast range of projects across Hilltops.

Working predominately out of the Harden office under the guidance of the Manager Major Projects, these two roles will join us in helping to facilitate Council's project-based opportunities for the next three years. These roles require candidates with drive and commitment to deliver these projects on time, within budget and to a high quality standard.

Successful candidates should demonstrate on their applications that they have aptitude and relevant industry experience in managing projects, as well as thoroughly demonstrating their interpersonal skills and their ability to interpret and analyse complex documentation. Working with Council staff and in close partnership with external stakeholders to drive these projects, means that you must demonstrate the ability to negotiate and reach agreement in often challenging circumstances.

DESTINATION MARKETING & EVENTS OFFICER (maternity relief)

  • Salary between $1,317.16 and $1,459.45 p/w + super with flexible working conditions including a nine-day fortnight.
  • Nine-month employment term with potential for extension.
  • Utilise your knowledge and experience in events/destination marketing in promoting the Hilltops region.
Council is seeking a qualified and experienced events coordinator to join its Tourism, Comms & Marketing team for a nine-month parental relief engagement (with the potential for extension)

As the Destination Marketing & Events Officer, you will be managing and coordinating Council-managed events, including the Boorowa Irish Woolfest, the National Cherry Festival and Lambing Flat Chinese Festival as well as engage with committees in the organisation of other events in the region. Your skills will be put to use in networking with various groups outside of Council to promote and advertise the Hilltops region.
 
It is expected that some weekend work will be required, and you must demonstrate a knack for content creation and an understanding of how to put strategic vision into action. While in this role, you will be working with a dedicated team of tourism staff who are passionate about promoting our beautiful Hilltops area both to visitors to the region, and the community at large.

TOURISM, COMMS & MARKETING TRAINEE

  • Fixed-term of two years, full-time, 70-hours per nine-day fortnight.

  • Excellent opportunity for a recent HSC graduate looking to build a career in the field of Comms & Marketing
Council is seeking a highly motivated individual with customer service experience and general knowledge of the Hilltops region, to join its Tourism, Comms & Marketing team in this two-year trainee opportunity.

This exciting role will require you to provide exceptional customer service to all visitors in the Hilltops region as they come to the Visitor Information Centres. In turn, you will learn a variety of skills as you progress towards their Certificate IV in Comms & Marketing.

It is expected that some weekend work will be required, and you will be exposed to events coordination and administrative tasks in support of the team. Along the way you will meet a huge variety of people and as such, if you’re a ‘people person’, this is the ideal role for you.

GIS TECHNICAL OFFICER (maternity relief)

Council are seeking an experienced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) professional to join its Business Information team in Boorowa to undertake a relief role of GIS Technical officer for a 12-month term.

The GIS Technical Officer is a critical role in Council, and provides expert advice to a range of internal and external customers on a number of matters, including generation and provision of cartographic images, spatial data and research to support review of development submissions to Council.

Applicants with an understanding of the regulatory environment of Local Government in NSW, including the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA) and the NSW Land Titles System, will be highly regarded.

If you are keen to put your qualifications and skills in GIS/Land Information Systems/Asset Management Systems to the test, this is the role for you!
